2012 Christmas Cookies

I cant resist the cookie cutters I saw from Amazon.com. These really turn out well. Here are the samples:

Yummy Strawberries!!! These are not the xmas cookies series... But I've always love the red-red from Wilton.

These lovely red apples - I've used the red-red from Americolor. They have a sharper red look compared to Wilton red-red...

This year, I prefer the white based pine trees!

All in all, more than 200 cookies. Deco time - 10 hrs! At the end of the day, my hands were hurting and I got a big headache!

These cookies texture are on the soft side as they are thick. The colors are nice.. as I'm doing this for Chinese New Year Cookies giveaway! :-)

2012 CNY Cookies

Attended a class today. Its conducted by Pauline Chan from Cookie Decorating in Singapore. She is truly generous with her tips on how to bake and decorate the perfect cookie. I've learnt a lot from Pauline. :-)

Lemon Cake with Berries

This is the last cake I baked for 2011!!! It was baked on Dec 31, 2011. I bought some pans from Wilton and was hoping to find the right recipe to use them. The pans came in 4 mini cake sized with a hollow at the center.  View from top:

Inverted, they look like these:

I've squeeze some whipped cream on it and managed to squeeze in Strawberries, Blueberries and Raspberries... drizzled with Passion Fruit syrup! 

Thats it for 2011!
